Empowering disadvantaged kids to succeed with free books

3 ways you can help empower disadvantaged kids get free books:

"When you are struggling to put food on the table, children's books are a luxury"

Melinda Shelley, Founder
Our Vision:
That all children, regardless of background or circumstances, have access to quality books.
Our Mission:
To provide quality books and raise awareness of the importance of reading aloud to disadvantaged children across Australia.

Why we do what we do

In 2018, 21.7% of Australian 5 year olds were not developmentally ready when they started school.

People with higher literacy – as measured by reading level – generally have had access to a better education.

In Australia 14.1 percent of people have the lowest levels in literacy.

A 1% increase in literacy creates a 3% increase in GDP.

42% of Australian adults struggle with reading everyday.

We have donated over 500,000 books to disadvantaged children.

Where are our book bins?

We are well established now in the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula local government and expanding into new areas.

Help us raise funds

Your tax-deductible donation is an investment in 123Read2Me Ltd and will help us to get more books to these children which will help them to break the cycle of poverty - one book at a time.
